'Little fingers' photographed by Pratyay: It was hard to choose the best photo from June since we travelled and got many great photos. But this one from Stillwater ended up being my favorite one due to obvious personal reasons. I am glad that our two-year old likes finding butterflies, and in this case she pointed at this very tiny Phaon Crescent. I am sure she will learn over time that they can be observed without going so close, but for now I am just happy that she enjoys her time outdoors with all kinds of critters.

Meanwhile, we have added some new features on this website. For example, check the page with some of our featured photos, or become a friend of Wingmates to motivate us or to get the most recent updates from us.

In fact, there are hundreds of unedited photos that we would love to post. We will be in the "Throwback Thursday" mode in the near future and write about exciting experiences from the past two years that we always wanted to share. These might end up being more frequent than the Oklahoma Diaries series. We are looking forward to these. Hopefully you will enjoy them too!

Our backyard starts getting pretty busy in February. The cardinals start singing, and the blossoms start popping up. The cedar waxwings were regulars over the winter as we had a good season for our berries. But in early spring, they were after something else… the buds!
